DATA SCIENCE FUNDAMENTALS (DS101)

Built on the Top of the Basic Python Knowledge. In this module focus will be to train the aspirant on various concepts of python that are required for Data Science and Machine Learning

DATA ANALYTICS (DS102)

DATA ANALYTICS (DS102)

Students will learn to Extract the data from Database and ingest it into python as a Data frame and perform analysis.

Data Engineering (DS103)

Data Engineering (DS103)

The students will learn how to ingest data from various sources and will learn to work with modules such as the Pandas module on performing data wrangling.

DATA VISUALIZATION (DS104)

The students will learn the concept of Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and how to use visualization techniques. Students will learn how to plot data using various visualization techniques.

The students will learn the feature engineering techniques and how it impacts the process in Machine learning model building. Students will also learn the concepts of supervised and unsupervised learning and types of algorithms used for Different Scenarios

Capstone Studio Practice is a research-based module that integrates concepts and works from throughout the program. Students are expected to integrate skills, knowledge, and creativity to produce a project that will showcase professional expertise in a chosen career field.

Junior Data Scientist

Junior Data Scientist will use the development tool to generate reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions according to business rules and specifications. He leads important projects and coordinates with the internal team to develop projection on the outcome implementing certain business strategies that results in actionable insights.

Lim Si Jie

Lecturer- Data Science

Si Jie is a data scientist that is passionate about the art of data science and using data science/AI for good. He is an alumnus of Nanyang Technological University, having obtained a degree in Actuarial Science. Most recently, he completed his Master’s Degree in Financial Engineering with WorldQuant University.

He is currently leading the data product at Finantier and building innovative credit scoring models to help the unbanked in Southeast Asia access better financial services. Prior to this, he was an AI Data Scientist at Vulcan AI, building computer vision solutions for the agricultural industry to analyze mobile and satellite images.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Age: 18 years old or above (based on date of birth) at point of start class

Academic Qualification for Diploma Intake: 3 GCE ‘O’ Level

English Proficiency: GCE ‘O’ Level English – Requires a minimum of C6 English grade

Assessment Result

Individual Modules will be assessed as

Internal Assessment:Test/Assignment 20%
Module Project:80%

Portfolio / Capstone Modules will be assessed as
